Future Fossils: Venkman’s Thrower

This piece imagines what may become of Peter Venkman and his thrower after millions of years of fossilization.

The original thrower was constructed out of various fabricated, resin cast, and found materials, such as vintage vacuum tubes and machined bellows.  Once the thrower was complete, it was encased in a concrete mixture that was then chipped away much like one would chip away rock to uncover a fossil.  The fossils were molding in silicone then cast with resin and ceramic fillers to make a light-weight rock-like casting that could be hung from the wall.
